Back when we launched in 2016, Australians were staring down a double dissolution election, Bill Shorten confused everyone by eating a democracy sausage from the middle, and Australia crashed Eurovision for the second time…and nearly won.

Back then, all we had was a mission to build a best practice political engagement platform, and Version 1 of our collaboration tool and database, Advoc8 Core. Since then we’ve worked with some of the best advocacy teams across corporates, nonprofits, industry bodies and lobby firms. This incredible support and loyalty has fuelled the business, and forced us to stay focused on solving customer challenges.

One recent challenge was helping customers easily visualise their data in a way that was meaningful to MPs. This is why in May we launched Advoc8 Maps, an electorate mapping tool that displays impact over electorate boundaries.

But our work is far from done, and we have big plans for the next 12 months. This includes:

  • Further refining Advoc8 Maps to make it an even more powerful electorate mapping tool;
  • Expanding the MP Directory to cover a broader set of relevant stakeholders;
  • Building integrations with other software applications; and
  • Establishing an Advisory Board of experts to help drive our continued innovation in customer success.

We’re super excited for the next year and beyond. We look forward to continuing to transform the way advocacy professionals engage with governments, and working to ensure that all groups get equal opportunity to contribute to Australia’s public policy debate.
